I always had this feeling! Even when I traveled with my parents as a child or teenager, I remember being wowed by the beauty of nature in Italy when, for example, I climbed the Volcano Etna.
2.)If you had unlimited resources, where would you go and what would you do?
I would travel to Antarctica and Galapagos to see all those amazing animals there!
3.)What were you afraid to do and how did you find the courage to overcome it?
I was afraid to leave home for my 8-months-trip around the world. But I’m not the type who can give up something I have started. So there was no way back.
4.)What apps do you use regularly that make your life easier?
I couldn’t live without Google Maps and Uber anymore. I use them every day when I’m on the road!
5.)What place do you wish more people have seen?
I don’t think it’s about particular places. In my opinion, it’s about traveling itself. I wish more people would leave their comfort zone and just hit the road, get to know new cultures, see the world.
6.)Best advice you have been given and by whom?
“Be happy with where you are and still allow yourself to grow.” My life coach Nik Wood told me that during one of our first lessons. I’m a perfectionist and never happy with what I’ve achieved and want more. But since he told me this one sentence, I think I’m getting better at this.
7.)When were you surprised by the kindness of strangers on a trip?
I’m always surprised when people who apparently don’t have anything themselves still are willing to share.
8.)What inspired you to travel for extended periods of time or live in a new country?
It was just an inborn wish to explore and see the world. It was just great when I realized that I can work while I’m on the road.
9.)I travel because….
It makes me happy!
10.) My favorite travel or business book is…
Eat Pray Love
11.) How about hotels? What’s your favorite or one you’d recommend?
